I don’t generally need an excuse to bake, but having a friend visiting, coincidentally on Valentines, gave me the perfect excuse to get creative. Note the strawberry hearts!
The only not-from-scratch part is the red frosting. But I made the vanilla frosting. Mmm. I think everything I bake here tastes better because I use my Grandma’s old hand mixer, cupcake tins, and her trio of red, blue, and yellow mixing bowls. Maybe one day I’ll snap shots of them while I’m whipping something up.
