I can’t believe it closed! (I know I’m a little behind here, but come on I’m out in the sticks.) This treasure trove of vintage goodies closed in mid-January, supposedly because the female half of the husband and wife team behind the East Village shop passed away over the summer. I can’t be sure, but I think I saw her more than once behind the glass counter filled with colorful old jewelry.
It really is quite a loss. Every time I entered that shop I saw something new and had a laugh (once upon catching ‘actor’ Seth Green browsing – he’s shorter than me!). If I hadn’t been on a student budget I’m sure I would have bought a lot more. I would have liked to take my boyfriend there when he visits (in a few weeks!)
What is happening to the city? Apparently, according to the news clip below, there is another Love Saves the Day in Pennsylvania. Road trip anyone?
