I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times

What I would give to be in Italy in the early 1960s…

…especially in the company of someone like Marcello, that bastard.

Brooding… somehow always in the midst of quite a hullabaloo, but always the one keeping his cool and observing the chaos. Horribly selfish and egocentric, yet when you consider the characters he’s surrounded with, you can’t rightly blame him. He seems to be the only one actually thinking. At this point I can’t separate his characters in 8 1/2 and La Dolce Vita, but I don’t quite want to either.
